"For more than eight months the Israeli leadership has been deliberately targeting the civilian population in Gaza. Over a hundred thousand people have been killed, injured or buried under the ruble, over two third being women and children [1].

In October, the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention issued a warning about a potential genocide against Palestinians [2]. Isreal is currently under investigation for genocide [3]. According to customary international law, every nation is obligated to take measures to prevent genocide at the first sign of suspicion [2].

RWTH Aachen collaborates with Technion in Haifa (Israel), which develops weapons for the genocide in Gaza and tests them on civilians [4]. Several thousand students and staff members of Technion have decided to follow the call and actively participate in the genocide [5].

Through this cooperation, RWTH Aachen is complicit in the genocide, violates our values, and disregards its obligations as a publicly funded institution.
